I bought another YZF750SP in December 2002.
This bike was prepared for 2002 Motegi 7 Hours endurance race but it failed to qualify and attended to the cosolation race (3 hours).
I paid 200,000 yen (around 1500 USD) for it including some extra parts. Extra F & R wheels with unused racing rain tyres, unused frame, fuel tank, some wind screens, carbon can, brake calipers, and so on.
I hear this bike had been prepared for competition in 1993 or 1994 but never raced. So this bike must've been ridden only for around 15 or 20 hours when I purchased.
I brought this bike to Motegi and had the first ride in July.
But the gearbox was broken when my friend was riding on that day. He might have made a mis-shifting.
I rode this bike only 10 minuts...
Started fixing and I found the 2nd gear was broken.
The nearest is the second gear. Something is wrong...
Left untouched...
Finished fixing.
Trackdays with this bike began in June.
